The Third Annual Festival of Good Cheer held on November 25, 2006 kicked off a full month of holiday shopping in the downtown core. The Ottawa Citizen said Perth provided "Christmas shopping the way it was meant to be". Downtown Heritage Perth features over 70 unique shops, boutiques, specialty stores and restaurants including crafts, antiques and flea market. The Perth Museum featured a Victorian Christmas display and the Crystal Palace featured a craft marketplace. And of course, December means Santa arrives in a wonderful small town night time parade.
